A group of 23 students from Universidad Pontificia Comillas in Madrid, Spain, attended a two-week program on International Affairs: Economics, Politics, and Law in Washington, D.C. Starting on June 10, the program included lectures by Georgetown University professors on topics such as U.S. relations with Russia and China, U.S. foreign and security policy, and the globalization of trade. Julian Mueller-Kaler from the Stimson Center also spoke to the students about international political risk analysis.

The students visited the U.S. Capitol and attended a professional briefing with a representative from the U.S. Department of State, gaining insights into American foreign policy. They also visited the Inter-American Development Bank and The Heritage Foundation, where they received informative briefings and participated in interactive Q&A sessions. Throughout the program, the students prepared group presentations, which they delivered on the final day, concluding an intensive and enlightening experience in the nation’s capital.
