Aymen Abderrahmen is the Assistant Director of the MEPI Student Leaders Program at Georgetown University’s Center for Intercultural Education and Development (CIED). His work centers on strategic program delivery, stakeholder collaboration, and advancing inclusive civic initiatives through education and exchange.

Prior to joining Georgetown, Aymen contributed to USAID-funded development efforts across the MENA region, including the “Supporting Digital Transformation in Egypt’s Economic Court System” project with Tetra Tech, and the Consortium for Elections and Political Process Strengthening (CEPPS) initiative with the International Republican Institute (IRI) in Jordan. His portfolio reflects a decade of experience at the intersection of civic innovation, advancing democracy, youth empowerment, and regional cooperation.

Aymen played a key role in launching the MEPI Alumni Connection program in 2019, fostering cross-border collaboration and sustained engagement among emerging leaders in the region. He has held leadership roles as Program Manager for IRI’s Middle East Regional Civic Initiative (MERCI), and was a Resident Fellow at the Tahrir Institute for Middle East Policy (TIMEP), where he contributed to policy research and advocacy on transitional justice and civil society resilience.

Originally from Tunisia, Aymen came of age during the Arab Spring uprising and brings a deep commitment to supporting democratic participation and social impact throughout the MENA region.
