Dr. Amy Crompton is a seasoned international education leader with over two decades of experience designing and managing global academic exchange programs, professional development initiatives, and strategic partnerships. As Director of English Language Programs, she brings a results-driven approach to advancing educational diplomacy and fostering cross-cultural engagement through English language education.

Amy has held multiple leadership roles at Georgetown University’s Center for Intercultural Education Development (CIED), where she spearheaded multiple initiatives for U.S. Department of State-funded programs. Her tenure includes serving as Learning and Development Manager, Outreach Manager, and TESOL Projects Senior Associate for English Language Programs, where she led curriculum innovation, outreach, and professional training for educators worldwide.

Her global impact spans a range of countries, with field experience in Afghanistan, the Palestinian Territories, Egypt, and Southeast Asia and the Pacific. She has designed and delivered teacher training programs, led curriculum development for women’s leadership initiatives, and contributed to policy research for organizations such as NORRAG, the World Bank, and the Brookings Institution. Amy also served as an English Language Fellow in the West Bank and Afghanistan and an English Language Specialist in Afghanistan.

Amy holds a Doctorate of Education in International Education Development from Teachers College, Columbia University.
