CIED Executive Programs are privately-funded programs for institutional, governmental and academic partners from around the world. These programs bring groups of business executives, government officials and college students from overseas to Georgetown University for intensive academic instruction, professional networking and cultural exposure to the United States.
These programs give students and executives an insider view on how business and government function in the United States. They expose participants to the richness of civil society organizations and their role in American politics and society. Programs also aim at enhancing participants’ academic knowledge and professional skills; supporting their understanding of American and global issues; and providing unique opportunity to network internationally.
Executive Programs are short in duration (one to three weeks), non-credit and custom-designed for the educational needs of international partners. Typically, programs contain academic instruction, professional site visits in the Washington Metropolitan Area and/or professional field trips in the mid Atlantic Region. Programs are tailored according to the themes, timing, budget and the level of logistical services requested by international partner institutions. More…
Faculty and speakers for the programs are selected based on their accomplishments in various disciplines and their understanding of the larger context of international executive education. More….
Throughout the year, CIED (in collaboration with various Georgetown University departments and schools) develops academic content and manages logistical preparations for over 20 programs of 15-30 participants each.
