Georgetown University, Center for Intercultural Education and Development Center for Intercultural Education & Development, Georgetown University
The Center for Intercultural Education and Development (CIED) designs and implements executive management programs for all kinds of international professionals. We work with governments, private enterprises, universities, and nonprofit organizations from developing, transitional countries and from industrialized countries who value our distinctive expertise. In addition, CIED develops contract-based and leadership programs for youth, undergraduate and graduate students with a special focus on leadership developing skills and a greater understanding of the United States.  We can deliver custom-designed programs that translate concepts into practice at Georgetown University or anywhere in the world.

Customized Programs
We do not repackage “off-the-shelf" courses.  Instead, we draw upon our deep knowledge of international education, development and diplomacy, as well as our logistical skills, to produce measurable results. We select faculty for their teaching ability, their accomplishments in their own disciplines, and their understanding of the larger context of international executive education. We work with partner institutions and outside experts to tailor programs according to the timing, location, budget, and needs of each client.

Each CIED program is truly unique. We design programs to strengthen the capacity of people and their organizations to make a difference in their home communities and countries, especially in the areas of:
